Founder at Anatara Medicine
I am an experienced physician scientist who is interested in personalized health optimization and advanced regenerative cell therapies. My clinical and academic background is in medicine, cardiology, pathology and immunology, spanning a career at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yale University Medical Centers, The Johns Hopkins Medical Centers, and most recently from 1999-2014, Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. In 2010, I Founded an Integrative Medical Center called Anatara Medicine, specializing in immunological, cardiovascular and metabolic disorders. The Center grew to include to house the San Francisco Stem Cell Treatment Center, providing cord blood stem cells, adipose-derived stromal vascular fraction and very small stem cells (VSC's) for those patients that may benefit from this safe, cutting edge technology. I founded Anatara Medicine to launch a deeply integrative and preventive medicine approach from seven worldwide medical traditions, including the best of Western, Eastern and European traditions. I believe that this comprehensive approach to individualized medicine will play a dominant role in the future of medicine, health and longevity, and will use aspects of "Global Medicine" not previously appreciated as potent therapeutic tools for many difficult chronic conditions and age management. I also feel this approach is the best way to optimize outcomes from Stem Cell therapy. Specialties: Integrative Medicine/Cardiology, Regenerative & Convergence Medicine, Personalized/Individualized & Molecular Medicine, Immunology and Chronic Disease Management, Non-Profit Board Development and Strategic Planning.
