"Big enough to serve you, small enough to know you." When my family launched a distribution center that helped mom-and-pop groceries compete with large chains, that was our motto. Working alongside my parents, I learned how valuable that approach was. I take the same approach today, providing financial and insurance products, strategies and advice for clients. It's what sets us apart as a top-performing State Farm agency. I understand the roadblocks life throws out there, and what I've learned as an entrepreneur here in the heart of Silicon Valley helps me serve my clients. It starts with a culture of service, recommending only what clients need and what makes sense for each unique situation. My diverse and growing teams understand this, too. I am personally invested in their development, creating a welcoming environment where they can learn and succeed while doing right by customers. I still think of my business as a family business—we see each other and our clients as family. My approach is simple: • add value for clients and recognize that we’re in the business of helping people, not selling commodities • create a supportive and inclusive work environment • welcome new employees with a team-oriented approach to training and development Given my agencies' emphasis on treating people like family, it's no surprise what I value outside of work. Growing up, our home was a place of togetherness. Now I enjoy opening up our home in the mountains to friends and relatives, and building new memories together. I also still believe in rewarding hard work. The money I saved working at my parents' business paid for my first car: a used Porsche 944. Eventually I turned that in for a "mom car," but running two top-performing State Farm agencies deserved a reward: a Porsche 911, custom painted the same kelly green as their millionth car.
