As vice president of Multicultural Communications, I bring more than 20 years of experience in working with diverse audiences in the public health arena in the United States. Through my varied experiences, I have gained a thorough understanding of the complexities involved in the development of systems and programs that serve various target populations. I strategically identify and define program goals and objectives, oversee message and materials development, develop appropriate dissemination strategies, and evaluate health communication programs for minority populations. I oversee project staff including bilingual writers, translators, editors, web and graphic designers, and outreach and media specialists throughout the company, who provide media and community outreach, as well as materials development targeting minority communities. I manage the development of print and web publications in multiple languages. In addition, I conduct focus-group testing, and I lead the development of a broad range of patient-education and healthcare provider materials. I also direct and monitor the implementation and operation of the contracts, including formulating and documenting procedures for project functions, monitoring all budget activity, supervising project staff members, monitoring contract progress, and providing deliverables. I draft reports that document the progress of contract activities.
