I have 20 years of experience in managing ships, leading change and cultivating the right environment for organisational development. In my current position I head the ship-owning entity of Maersk based in the vibrant maritime cluster of Hong Kong and China. I was previously involved for a number of years developing the ship management function within Maersk in Copenhagen and Singapore. Through challenging norms, continuous benchmarking, knowledge-sharing, resource reallocation, change management and performance monitoring was able to make sure that the ship management function within Maersk would continue to be sustainable, cost-competitive and value for money. I started my career sailing with Maersk as a marine engineer taking all the challenges, toil & sweat that our seafarers undertake in the high seas.
