Roles & Responsibility: 1. Lead and coordinate Sourcing team across Asia region to achieve Sourcing metric 2. Drive KPIs (Material Cost, ADP, OTD, Lead-time, etc.) with cross functional team in China and global plants (Globally 13 plants) 3. Negotiations with suppliers on pricing, deliveries, Consignment, VMI. 4. Interface and communicate with global commodity team on regular timing base, be aligned with the global commodity strategies and execute accordingly. 5. Developed supplier network through a thorough understanding of the supplier base and intricacies of suppliers’ management in Asia. 6. Work with Engineering, New Product Development, Marketing to develop sourcing strategy to achieve & meet new product timelines and customer’s expectations. 7. Communicate effectively with sourcing personnel and other various functional team leaders & personnel at global locations in purchasing, quality, and engineering for effective and efficient project executions. 8. Understand legal implications when developing supply contracts, incorporating protection and remedies against potential dispute/difficulties by setting KPI timelines. To be kept informed of up-to-date legal matters affecting purchasing policies. 9 Annual budget setup & review with finance quarterly/yearly on actual, collaborative strategy with Cooper Safety plants to plan the progress. 10. Quarterly team review on performance with formulation of short term strategy to achieve Global targets. 11. Participate in yearly Global sourcing review meeting offsite. 12. Managing strategic suppliers (65 nos) in Asia region with a yearly budget of USD21Mn 13. Category Management – Manage direct categories Batteries, Transformers(magnetic), cables across organization. 14. Set up organization wide strategies for categories, with time wise deliverables and monitoring the team efforts to meet targets.
