As practice coordinator for Sound Hospital Physicians at CarolinaEast, I am responsible for the administration of the day-to-day operations of our practice, coordinating and completing assigned projects to effectively support the immediate and long range objectives of the team. I am organized, analytical and flexible. I act as a liaison with management staff and other departments throughout the hospital, interact regularly with each physician to ensure that their practice business needs are met, resolve any medical or administrative problems and maintain open lines of communication between practice staff and administration. I review and handle patient complaints. I maintain the staffing schedule for our site, which is 20+ physician model, along with 4 APPs, and adjust staffing levels as necessary. I review physician charges, coding accuracy and capture of charges, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
