Director for Student Affairs Assessment & Strategic Initiatives (September 2012 – present) Tarleton State University • University COVID-19 Immediate Response Task Force o Served as one of three task force members (Co-Chairs: Dr. Laurie Sharp-Academic Affairs, Dr. Manon Shockey-Enrollment Management/Student Success, and myself-all other University areas) o Implemented University transition to move University to multimodal platform and address faculty/staff and student needs o Reviewed non-academic data/feedback for triage (mental, physical health needs, financial/security needs) o Rapid assessment of broad needs with mobilization for systemic response • Provide leadership, direction, and implementation for recruitment, retention, and student success initiatives for the Division including the University Orientation program • Oversee divisional retention efforts and initiatives, which resulted in an increase over prior year, for First Generation students, from 86% to 89.79% for Fall 2017 to Spring 2018 • Chair the creation of a transformative undergraduate experience addressing experiences in Student Affairs encompassing the University’s Core Values, the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Boards 60x30TX program, as well as best practices such as the STLR program through the University of Central Oklahoma • Provide leadership, direction, and implementation for the Living Learning Community program, an academically based residential program.
