Gustavo Pimentel is Executive Director of SITAWI Finance for Good, where he leads Latin America's largest practice (90+ professionals) on ESG Research and Sustainable Finance consulting. He was voted best ESG* analyst globally by Extel’s IRRI – Independent Research in Responsible Investment 2015 and nominated one of Brazil's 50 Innovators for the Climate (Inovadores pelo Clima) by Época Negócios (2021). Gustavo advises financial institutions and companies on integrating environmental and social issues into strategy, risk management, investment analysis, and product development, serving clients such as commercial and development banks, private equity, venture capital, asset managers, pension funds, insurers, listed companies, NGOs and governments. His early career entailed finance and consulting positions in ABN AMRO, SR Rating and Accenture. Gustavo has a BA in Economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, an International MBA from IE Business School and a Certificate in Responsible Investment from the University of St Andrews.
