Civil/Structural Designer with over 9 years of experience in building science, structural bridge maintenance, road asset management and project management. Knowledge of reinforced concrete. In my present role as a Civil/Structural Designer I have had many achievements, including involvement in designing concrete repairs for bridges, sequencing of works and assessing the reduction in strength for various structural elements. Preparing finite element models (using LUSAS) and calculating load effects and capacities in accordance with British Standards. I have also been involved in projects which consisted of carriageway resurfacing, kerb upgrading, tactile pavements for crossings and renewal of bridge deck joints. Specialist inspections of post tensioned bridges and the desk studies to determine design and construction details, preparation of reports involving interpolation of results and recommendations for future works.
