Senior Director, Research Informatics & IT at ActivX Biosciences

Over the past 20+ years, I have applied my scientific background in molecular biology and bioinformatics to build information systems, conduct data analyses, and design and implement software solutions in support of early structural bioinformatics, drug discovery, proteomics, and genomics. I have built and lead teams in research informatics and IT as well as contributed directly to several drug discovery teams. As a member of the senior scientific leadership and management team at ActivX Biosciences, Inc., I am the principal liaison between research teams and all informatics and IT support. My group to date has implemented several published and proprietary algorithms in support of ActivX's proteomics platform and drug discovery efforts. I participate in several projects focused on early target identification, hit identification, and hit-to-lead optimization in metabolic and inflammatory disease areas by providing structural bioinformatics and molecular modeling support as well as next generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis. Working within the global context of ActivX's parent company, I am driving the development and implementation of research informatics strategies to enhance data exchange and integration of multi-site projects. I am leading collaborations relating to informatics based pharmaceutical research while ensuring stakeholder engagement, commitment, and management.
