Group Director of People, Corporate Affairs & the Office of the CEO at Laing O'Rourke

Josh is a member of the Group, Europe and Australia Executive Committees at Laing O’Rourke, having joined the business in 2008 and served in both Australia and London in various roles – with executive level experience across business development and client services, communications, corporate affairs, government relations, marketing, HR, governance and strategy. He works alongside founder Ray O’Rourke to steer the Office of the CEO, while also leading the global People and Corporate Affairs portfolios. Previously Chief of Staff to the New South Wales Premier, Deputy Premier, and Cabinet Ministers – Josh gained policy and leadership experience in transport and infrastructure, energy reform, state development and law and order during almost a decade in politics, and as part of two successful election campaigns. Winner of the Walkley Award for Journalism from his earlier broadcasting career in NSW and Queensland. Josh has undertaken postgraduate studies in management and marketing, and has a prior degree in communication. He is also a graduate of Laing O’Rourke’s bespoke global leadership program, conducted in conjunction with the University of Queensland Business School and Imperial College, London.
