Linda Langdon is an entrepreneur with compassion. Dedicating her life to others, she has more than three decades experience in health care. As a women with many talents, she has worn many hats in a variety of companies in this industry. Linda and her husband took the plunge into health care in the early 1980s with the purchase of the Langdon House retirement. Linda was its administrator and day to day operator. After stepping away and relocating their family to Vancouver, Washington in 1990, they continued to help with the creation of three adult foster care homes that specialized in diabetic assistance. It was from this experience that inspired Linda with her biggest success to date – the creation of Low Carb Creations, an important player in the low carbohydrate industry. Linda, alongside her team, started the company in 1999 with a mission to pre-emptively help those with diabetes and weight issues. Low Carb Creations focused on teaching the benefits of the low carb diet as well as the creation and manufacturing of related products. Grossing more than $4.3 million in sales the first year, the rapid success of Low Carb Creations resulted in a $15 million acquisition to Sunset Brands, Inc. in 2004. Dubbed the “Queen of Low Carb,” Linda stayed on to help Sunset assess and acquire other low carb companies. Linda has been a natural sales person and a savvy businesswoman since childhood. From starting her own neighborhood newspaper to window washing to an Avon business all by the age of 14, Linda has proven herself as an entrepreneur. Linda came out of retirement in 2011 to create AccessaMed. As a thought leader in the health care industry, Linda heard firsthand the struggles of taking prescription medication from the blind community and felt compelled to take a stand and create the Digital Audio Label. Linda is on a mission to help others and won’t stop until there is a safe and reliable solution for the blind and visually impaired community.
