I communicate and work well with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, socio-economic and education levels. I entered the world of advocacy, when I took on my sister's elementary school board and won. A sense of pride is being an advocate for families who are traditionally left out of the process. Education is a huge part of my life. My passion is in training, teaching, coaching, sponsoring and mentoring others through a variety of personal and professional skills to shorten their success trajectory. Former President of the Chicano Latino Youth Leadership Project. Have taught undergrad and graduate courses at American University, University of Phoenix, and Heald College. Taught public relations, marketing, advertising, business, project management and public speaking. I’m certified by the John Maxwell Team leadership program and Emily Post Institute to teach civility and etiquette courses. Completed a one year program on ontological coaching by Accomplishment Coaching. American of Mexican heritage. Parents worked in the fields of California and raised five children. All of us have a college degree.
