I very much enjoyed studying business administration and law at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. After graduation, I spent 6 years practising commercial litigation as an associate lawyer with Stikeman Elliott LLP in Toronto, Ontario. In 2003, I formed Amatrimara Inc. with my brother-in-law and business partner, Scott Strong. The company started as a manufacturers' representative assisting clients in Brazil with pursuing opportunities in the North American automotive industry. Over time, we added our own manufacturing capabilities and we now operate River Drive Manufacturing, a supplier of passenger assist straps, handles, stanchion padding and other interior trim products for use in public transit vehicles such as city buses and passenger rail cars. We have launched many innovated products over the years and hold several patents. I am involved with all aspects of the business, with primary focus on finance, contract administration, compliance and digital marketing.
