Purnendu is a Director at BNY Mellon where he performs CIO advisory functions for Clearance & Collateral line of business. As a member of leadership team, he collaborates with line of business to establish strategic product vision and roadmap and aligns business architecture and technical architecture functions across major initiatives for future execution. Additionally he participates in portfolio governance exercises for enterprise IT portfolio of $2.7 billion each year. Purnendu is a subject matter expert in building highly available, performant, secure and resilient mission-critical transactional and analytical platforms. A strategist and technical architect at heart, he has a hardware engineering and full stack developer background with recent demonstrated success in infrastructure modernization, public cloud adoption, digital transformation and data science initiatives. Purnendu holds an engineering degree in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation from NIT, Rourkela. He also holds Masters degree in Information Systems from NYU and a Masters degree in Business Administration from Columbia University.
