Transportation Systems Analyst at Clackamas Community College

Ray Atkinson is the Transportation Systems Analyst at Clackamas Community College (CCC). He does transportation demand management (TDM) by working to expand transportation choices and resolving transportation and land use barriers. Since he has never owned a car and lives in Oregon City, he uses his unique multimodal transportation and land use perspectives to improve his work performance. His main office is at the Oregon City campus. He also has an office at the Harmony campus in Milwaukie and works at the Wilsonville campus. He hires, trains and supervises a Peer Assistant, who is a CCC student that does part-time work. During the summer term, he hires, trains and supervises a Summer Intern. Ray is also taking courses to earn the Associate of Applied Science degree in Project Management at Clackamas Community College. He graduated from Portland State University with a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree with a Transportation Specialization. He graduated with honors from UNC Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography, a Community and Regional Planning Concentration, and an Urban Studies Minor. He studied sustainable transportation planning and engineering abroad in Denmark and the Netherlands through the University of Oregon.
