Steve Arone is currently the Director in Business Technology ERP Service Center department leading the Application Architecture and Business Process Analysis team at Pfizer, Inc. He has worked for Pfizer for more than 15 years in numerous positions of responsibility within business technology and more specifically in the SAP ERP and Business Analytics areas. Steve was an instrumental leader over the past 7 years as Pfizer undertook an unprecedented project to deploy a single instance SAP ERP system to support it’s $50+ Billion Global Life Sciences business. Prior to the acquisition of Wyeth in 2009, Steve led various teams deploying SAP in multiple domestic and international markets including a 1 year assignment in Asia where he established a permanent team with SAP Business Intelligence capabilities while deploying SAP in 2 markets and a newly constructed plant. Most recently, within the ERP Service Center, Steve has started the journey of establishing an Application Architecture function and combining it with an established Business Process Management function to enable Pfizer to build on it’s past while preparing for and embracing the future.
