Finance Manager at LifeNet Health
I am an ambitious professional with experience in a variety of fields, including equity research, tech startups, corporate finance, health care, real estate, and international sourcing. Academically, I earned my BBA from Virginia Tech (4.00 GPA) and my MBA from William & Mary (3.97 GPA). Prior to my schooling, I had years of experience working on my family's real estate investment business. This involved very long, demanding hours getting properties renovated and 'online' as quickly as possible, plus intensive due diligence work vetting prospective investment opportunities. I attribute much of my intense work ethic and conscientiousness to this period of my personal development. During my MBA, I did an extended one-and-a half year internship with LifeNet Health. During my stay at LifeNet, I worked on an incredibly expansive array of projects - ranging from treasury to budget automation to advanced VBA dashboard development. In all, I would consider this to be one of the most rapid periods of my professional development to date. Following my internship at LifeNet, I joined IBM as a Professional Financial Analyst in a Cost Coordinator role. During this time, I restructured most of my role to dramatically reduce process loss and promote analytical clarity. At the same time, I assisted with the integration of IBM's Microelectronics business to GlobalFoundries. However, my position was slated to move to GlobalFoundries after the integration and LifeNet expressed a strong interest in taking me back, so I chose to transfer back to LifeNet to work in a Finance role. I also have several other fun projects running concurrent to my work at LifeNet: I act as the part time CFO for a silicon valley tech startup, I sell real estate, I renovate homes, and I have started a couple companies. Key Skills: - Budgeting process design and capital planning - Risk mitigation and contingency planning - Sales strategy and lead generation - M&A underwriting, strategy, and integration - Technology, Media, & Telecom (TMT), Healthcare, and Real Estate equity research - Executive communication - Startups and entrepreneurial management - Lean and Six Sigma - Advanced Excel and VBA modeling
